The Tri-Valley Mustangs (Colton, SD) basketball felled the host McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD), 52-41 in Tuesday's league test.
The Mustangs (5-12) will now prepare for their test against Baltic (Baltic, SD). The Bulldogs go into the A Region 3 test with a 8-11 record. In their last test, Baltic was beaten by St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD), 70-62, in a non-league test.
The Fighting Cougars now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they host West Central for a A Region 3 test on Saturday, February 18. McCook Central/Montrose will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 60-33 non-league win over Chamberlain (Chamberlain, SD). The Trojans record now stands at 9-9.
