The Pomperaug Panthers basketball team (Southbury, CT), was nudged 56-55 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Weston Trojans (Weston, CT)

The Trojans now possess a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Notre Dame Catholic for a Southwest battle on Friday, February 17. Weston will confront a Lancers team coming off a 73-56 league win over Joel Barlow (Redding, CT). The Lancers record now stands at 17-2.

The Panthers (6-12) will now prepare for their battle against Immaculate (Danbury, CT). The Mustangs come into the Southwest battle with a 11-7 record. In their last battle, Immaculate edged Bunnell (Stratford, CT), 46-43, in a league battle.
