Smith Vo-Tech Vikings (Northampton, MA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Westfield Technical Academy Tigers (Westfield, MA), 53-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Smith Vo-Tech upgrades its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Ware (Ware, MA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 6-11. Ware lost 52-43 in their recent non-league bout against Belchertown (Belchertown, MA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Pathfinder RVT Pioneers (Palmer, MA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 15. Westfield Technical Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Pioneers come into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 51-28 league loss to Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion (Hadley, MA).
