South Dakota High School Basketball - Washington nips Mitchell

Washington Warriors (Sioux Falls, SD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD), 55-53 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Washington upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Roosevelt (Sioux Falls, SD) to play the Rough Riders in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Rough Riders come into the bout with a record of 0-1.
Next up, the Kernels play the Watertown Arrows (Watertown, SD) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, February 18. Mitchell will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record.
