Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Caldwell Hornets (Caldwell, TX), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cubs now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Idalou for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 16. Brenham will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Randall (Amarillo, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Caldwell falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Elkhart (Elkhart, TX) to battle the Elks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 18. The Elks enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Elkhart lost 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Madisonville (Madisonville, TX)
