Norwalk Bears (Norwalk, CT) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Greenwich Cardinals (Greenwich, CT), 56-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Norwalk upgrades its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Bears host Stamford (Stamford, CT) to play the Black Knights in a Fairfield County bout on Monday, February 19. The Black Knights come into the bout with a record of 14-4. Stamford won 68-54 in their recent league bout against Warde (Fairfield, CT)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Bassick Lions (Bridgeport, CT) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 15. Greenwich will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 71-61 non-league loss to New London (New London, CT).
