Holt Rams (Holt, MI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mattawan Wildcats (Mattawan, MI), 76-72 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Holt upgrades its record to 7-12 on the campaign. The Rams host Okemos (Okemos, MI) to play the Wolves in a Capital Area - Blue bout on Friday, February 16. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 16-3. Okemos lost 69-65 in their recent league bout against Waverly (Lansing, MI)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Portage Central Mustangs (Portage, MI) in a Southwestern Michigan - West bout, on Friday, February 16. Mattawan will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 15-3 record after their 71-67 non-league win over Brandywine (Niles, MI).
