The Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) basketball nipped the host McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD), 55-50 in Wednesday's league test.
The Patriots (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD). The Hurricanes go into the Southern Maryland test with a 9-12 record. In their last test, Huntingtown got by Lackey (Indian Head, MD), 47-45, in a league test.
The Rams now own a 14-6 record. They play next when they travel to Calvert for a Southern Maryland test on Friday, February 16. McDonough will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 68-48 league loss to Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-20.
