In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Sam Houston Broncos (Lake Charles, LA) basketball squad nipped the host Westlake Rams (Westlake, LA), by a margin of 55-53.
The Broncos (18-14) will now prepare for their outing against Sulphur (Sulphur, LA). The Golden Tors go into the 5A District 3 outing with a 15-16 record. In their last outing, Sulphur got by St. Martinville (St. Martinville, LA), 55-42, in a non-league outing.
The Rams now own a 15-10 record.
