Ohio High School Basketball - West Branch thwarts Girard

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Branch Warriors (Beloit, OH) and the visiting Girard Indians (Girard, OH), observed West Branch's basketball team knock off Girard by a score of 54-34.

The Warriors (11-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Catholic (Mentor, OH). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 12-9 record. In their last challenge, Lake Catholic dropped by Padua Franciscan (Parma, OH), 86-42, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians encounter the Garfield G-Men (Garrettsville, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 22. Girard will attempt to improve on its 12-10 season record.
