Nebraska High School Basketball - Gretna East overwhelms Mount Michael Benedictine

The Gretna East Griffins basketball team scored 69 points and limited the visiting Mount Michael Benedictine Knights to 48 in the Griffins league triumph on Friday.

The Griffins now possess a 15-6 record. They play next when they travel to Wahoo for a non-league game on Saturday, February 15. Gretna East will confront a Warriors team coming off a 88-54 non-league win over Plattsmouth (Plattsmouth, NE). The Warriors record now stands at 18-3.

With the loss, Mount Michael Benedictine falls to 12-8 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Bennington (Bennington, NE) to confront the Badgers in a non-league game on Thursday, February 20. The Badgers go into the game with a record of 13-8. Bennington won 68-46 in their recent non-league game against Gross Catholic (Omaha, NE)
