Michigan High School Basketball - Powers Catholic thwarts Heritage

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI) and the visiting Heritage Hawks (Saginaw, MI), observed Powers Catholic's basketball team knock off Heritage by a score of 69-53.
The Chargers (17-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, MI). The Cavaliers come into the Saginaw Valley challenge with a 14-5 record. In their last challenge, Carman-Ainsworth prevailed over Hamady (Flint, MI), 72-49, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Hawks encounter the River Rouge Panthers (River Rouge, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Sunday, February 16. Heritage will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 14-7 record after their 48-44 non-league loss to L'Anse Creuse North (Macomb, MI).
