The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Lakeland Vikings (Deepwater, MO) and the visiting Jasper Eagles (Jasper, MO), observed Lakeland's basketball team knock off Jasper by a score of 56-46.

The Vikings (11-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Rich Hill (Rich Hill, MO). The Tigers come into the Western Missouri challenge with a 16-4 record. In their last challenge, Rich Hill prevailed over Appleton City (Appleton City, MO), 58-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Early Panthers (Morrisville, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 17. Jasper will attempt to improve on its 7-15 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 7-14 record after their 41-38 non-league win over Billings (Billings, MO).
