The Marian Catholic Spartans basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Niles Notre Dame Dons to 40 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now have a 23-6 record. They play next when they travel to Lanphier for a non-league game on Saturday, February 15. Marian Catholic will confront a Lions team coming off a 47-34 non-league loss to MacArthur (Decatur, IL). The Lions record now stands at 19-11.

With the loss, Niles Notre Dame falls to 15-13 on the campaign. The Dons travel to Brother Rice (Chicago, IL) to confront the Crusaders in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 18. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 23-6. Brother Rice lost 70-62 in their recent league game against Chicago Mt. Carmel (Chicago, IL)
