Massachusetts High School Basketball - St. John's Prep nips Methuen

In Friday's non-league contest, the host St. John's Prep Eagles basketball team scored a close 71-68 triumph over the Methuen Rangers.

The Eagles (2-16) will now prepare for their contest against Wachusett Regional (Holden, MA). The Mountaineers go into the non-league contest with a 7-13 record. In their last contest, Wachusett Regional was tipped by North (Worcester, MA), 56-55, in a non-league contest.

Next up, the Rangers meet the Salem Witches (Salem, MA) in a non-league battle, on Sunday, February 16. Methuen will attempt to advance on its 8-10 season record. The Witches enter the battle with a 15-3 record after their 78-73 non-league win over Wakefield Memorial (Wakefield, MA).
