In Friday's league contest, the host Montpelier Solons basketball team scored a good 87-70 win over the Randolph Ghosts.

The Solons (18-1) will now prepare for their contest against North Country Union (Newport, VT). The Falcons come into the non-league contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, North Country Union was topped by Harwood (Moretown, VT), 67-63, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Ghosts battle the Hazen Wildcats (Hardwick, VT) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, February 19. Randolph will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record.
