In Friday's league contest, the host Summers County Bobcats basketball team scored a big 72-46 triumph over the River View Raiders.

The Bobcats (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV). The Cavaliers go into the Coalfield A contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Greenbrier West was trounced by Doddridge County (West Union, WV), 64-36, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders (Prosperity, WV) in a Coalfield A contest, on Monday, February 17. River View will attempt to better on its 4-11 season record. The Crusaders go into the contest with a 10-5 record after their 81-57 league win over Midland Trail (Hico, WV).
