In Friday's non-league contest, the host Gering Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 65-63 triumph over the McCook Bison.

The Bulldogs (12-8) will now prepare for their contest against North Platte (North Platte, NE). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 6-14 record. In their last contest, North Platte was tipped by Crete (Crete, NE), 67-44, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bison battle the Scottsbluff Bearcats (Scottsbluff, NE) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 15. McCook will attempt to better on its 14-8 season record. The Bearcats go into the contest with a 10-11 record after their 43-33 non-league loss to Sidney (Sidney, NE).
