Virginia High School Basketball - Highland Springs can't hold off The Covenant

February 14, 2025: Charlottesville, VA 22902

The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Highland Springs Springers (Highland Springs, VA), 46-43 in a non-league match.

With the victory, The Covenant advances its record to 18-6 on the year. The Eagles host Hampton Roads Academy (Newport News, VA) to face the Navigators in a non-league match on Saturday, February 15. The Navigators enter the match with a record of 17-3. Hampton Roads Academy lost 81-58 in their recent league match against Norfolk Christian (Norfolk, VA)

The Springers now own a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Godwin for a non-league match on Monday, February 17. Highland Springs will face a Eagles squad coming off a 38-35 league win over J.R. Tucker (Henrico, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 12-6.
