The Salado Eagles edged the visiting Harlingen South Hawks softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles meet the Liberty Panthers (Liberty, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 14. Salado will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX).
The Hawks (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Jones (Beeville, TX). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Jones was nudged by Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX), 9-1, in a non-league challenge.
