The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Dunlap Eagles (Dunlap, IL) and the host Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL), witnessed Dunlap's basketball squad run past Eureka by a count of 49-40.
With the victory, Dunlap advances its record to 13-15 on the year. The Eagles host Metamora (Metamora, IL) to meet the Redbirds in a Mid-Illini match on Tuesday, February 17. The Redbirds enter the match with a record of 20-8. Metamora lost 77-75 in their recent league match against East Peoria (East Peoria, IL)
The Hornets now sport a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lexington for a Heart of Illinois match on Tuesday, February 17. Eureka will face a Minutemen squad coming off a 70-62 league loss to Ridgeview (Colfax, IL). The Minutemen record now stands at 20-9.
