In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Chester Volcanoes (Chester, CA) basketball squad beat the visiting Hayfork Timberjacks (Hayfork, CA), by a count of 54-40.
The Volcanoes (12-6) will now prepare for their outing against Butte Valley (Dorris, CA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 17-4 record. In their last game, Butte Valley knocked off Dunsmuir (Dunsmuir, CA), 63-43, in a non-league game.
With the defeat, Hayfork moves to 10-12 on the year.
