The Sumter County Panthers smashed the host Westover Patriots soccer squad by a margin of 12-6 in Tuesday's non-league match.
The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Crisp County for a AAA Region 2 match on Friday, February 18. Sumter County will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Dodge County (Eastman, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 3-3.
With the loss, Westover drops to 0-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA) to encounter the Yellow Jackets in a AAAA Region 1 match on Tuesday, February 22. The Yellow Jackets come into the match with a record of 3-1.
