Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Grace King Fighting Irish (Metairie, LA) and the host Cox Cougars (Harvey, LA), witnessed Grace King's softball squad prevail over Cox by a count of 16-5.

The Fighting Irish now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Sci Academy for a non-league match on Thursday, February 24.

With the loss, Cox moves to 0-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to L.W. Higgins (Marrero, LA) to face the Hurricanes in a 5A District 8 match on Wednesday, February 16. The Hurricanes go into the match with a record of 0-0.
