The Spartans now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to South El Monte for a non-league match on Thursday, February 17. Schurr will face a Eagles squad coming off a 12-9 non-league win over Rowland (Rowland Heights, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Garfield moves to 0-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Bell Gardens (Bell Gardens, CA) to face the Lancers in a non-league match on Friday, February 18. The Lancers go into the match with a record of 0-2. Bell Gardens lost 9-1 in their recent non-league match against El Monte (El Monte, CA)
