Michigan High School Basketball - Akron-Fairgrove can't hold off Oakland Christian

The Oakland Christian Lancers basketball team scored 85 points and restricted the visiting Akron-Fairgrove Vikings to 81 in the Lancers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Lancers now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Inter-City Baptist for a Michigan Independent - Blue contest on Friday, February 17. Oakland Christian will battle a Chargers team coming off a 83-69 league win over Clarenceville (Livonia, MI). The Chargers record now stands at 7-7.
The Vikings (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Carsonville-Port Sanilac (Carsonville, MI). The Tigers come into the North Central Thumb contest with a 2-12 record. In their last contest, Carsonville-Port Sanilac was nudged by Mayville (Mayville, MI), 42-17, in a league contest.
