The Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings basketball team scored 89 points and restricted the host Mason City Mohawks to 79 in the Vikings non-league victory on Thursday.
The Vikings now sport a 19-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Delaware for a non-league contest on Monday, February 19. Decorah-North Winneshiek will battle a Hawks team coming off a 59-55 non-league win over Vinton-Shellsburg (Vinton, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 3-19.
The Mohawks (4-18) will now prepare for their contest against Ames (Ames, IA). The Little Cyclones come into the non-league contest with a 17-8 record. In their last contest, Ames prevailed over Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA), 60-54, in a non-league contest.
