Prairie Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA), 89-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Prairie upgrades its record to 12-11 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA) to play the Hawks in a Mississippi Valley bout on Monday, February 19. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 3-21. Jefferson lost 73-53 in their recent league bout against Linn-Mar (Marion, IA)

Next up, the Wahawks play the Waterloo East Trojans (Waterloo, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 16. Waterloo West will attempt to upgrade on its 5-19 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 8-16 record after their 60-51 non-league loss to Burlington (Burlington, IA).
