Roncalli Cavaliers (Aberdeen, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Deuel Cardinals (Clear Lake, SD), 54-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Roncalli upgrades its record to 17-3 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Redfield (Redfield, SD) to play the Pheasants in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 20. The Pheasants go into the bout with a record of 6-14. Redfield won 58-29 in their recent league bout against Tiospa Zina (Agency Village, SD)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones (Clark, SD) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 19. Deuel will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Cyclones go into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 51-44 league loss to Hamlin (Hayti, SD).
