Plano East Panthers (Plano, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Lake Travis Cavaliers (Austin, TX), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to The Woodlands for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 16. Plano East will face a Highlanders squad coming off a 9-4 non-league win over Victoria West (Victoria, TX). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Lake Travis falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Sherman (Sherman, TX) to face the Bearcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 16. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Sherman won 6-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Socorro (El Paso, TX)
