Northwest Texans (Justin, TX) backers exited the stadium satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their softball squad tip the visiting MacArthur Generals (Houston, TX), 9-8 in a non-league match.

The Texans now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Hutto for a non-league match on Friday, February 16. Northwest will meet a Hippos squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Willis (Willis, TX). The Hippos record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, MacArthur moves to 1-1 on the season. The Generals travel to Incarnate Word Academy (Houston, TX) to meet the Falcons in a non-league match on Thursday, February 15.
