The Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) baseball the host Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA), 10-5 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Pirates now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jeff Davis for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 18. Appling County will clash with a Yellowjackets team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Effingham County drops to 3-1 on the year. The Rebels travel to Statesboro (Statesboro, GA) to clash with the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 17. The Blue Devils go into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Statesboro lost 9-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Benedictine (Savannah, GA)
