The Florien Blackcats baseball team scored 4 runs and held the host Red River Bulldogs to 1 in the Blackcats non-league win on Saturday.
The Blackcats now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Benton for a non-league test on Monday, February 17. Florien will play a Tigers team coming off a 12-0 non-league win over St. Mary (Natchitoches, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-0.
With the defeat, Red River drops to 2-2 on the year. The Bulldogs host Quitman (Quitman, LA) to play the Wolverines in a non-league test on Saturday, February 15. The Wolverines go into the test with a record of 1-1. Quitman lost 11-0 in their recent non-league test against Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, LA)
