In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Bear Lake Lakers basketball team scored a good 57-47 triumph over the Brethren Bobcats.
The Lakers (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Mason County Eastern (Custer, MI). The Cardinals go into the West Michigan D contest with a 5-15 record. In their last contest, Mason County Eastern topped Walkerville (Walkerville, MI), 57-12, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Glen Lake Lakers (Maple City, MI) in a Northwest contest, on Tuesday, February 18. Brethren will attempt to better on its 6-14 season record.
