The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Starkville Yellowjackets (Starkville, MS) and the host DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS), observed Starkville's basketball team overcome DeSoto Central by a tally of 68-53.
The Yellowjackets now possess a 24-7 record. They play next when they travel to Madison Central for a non-league bout on Thursday, February 20. Starkville will play a Jaguars team coming off a 42-36 non-league win over Southaven (Southaven, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 11-7.
With the loss, DeSoto Central falls to 21-10 on the campaign.
