In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Nicholas County Bluejackets basketball team scored a close 64-59 win over the Holmes Bulldogs.
The Bluejackets (17-7) will now prepare for their contest against Augusta (Augusta, KY). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 16-8 record. In their last contest, Augusta edged Holmes (Covington, KY), 72-65, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs meet the Ludlow Panthers (Ludlow, KY) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, February 18. Holmes will attempt to advance on its 11-13 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 14-12 record after their 77-59 non-league loss to Owen County (Owenton, KY).
