In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Holy Cross Cougars basketball team scored a close 58-52 triumph over the Pikeville Panthers.
The Cougars (14-11) will now prepare for their contest against Bullitt Central (Shepherdsville, KY). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 7-20 record.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Floyd Central Jaguars (Eastern, KY) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 20. Pikeville will attempt to better on its 14-9 season record. The Jaguars go into the contest with a 9-16 record after their 68-42 non-league loss to Perry County Central (Hazard, KY).
