The Newman Greenies the visiting Hoover Buccaneers lacrosse team by a tally of 17-13 in Saturday's non-league match.

Next up, the Greenies confront the Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 22. Newman will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Griffins come into the match with a 5-1 record after their 16-4 league win over Varsity Opponent (, ).

The Buccaneers (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Jesuit (New Orleans, LA). The Blue Jays come into the non-league match with a 0-0 record.
