Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals (Fairhope, AL) and the host Athens Golden Eagles (Athens, AL), saw St. Michael Catholic's soccer squad hold off Athens by a score of 1-0.
The Cardinals (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Hoover (Hoover, AL). The Buccaneers enter the non-league battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Hoover tipped Auburn (Auburn, AL), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Golden Eagles confront the St. John Paul II Falcons (Huntsville, AL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, February 15. Athens will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record.
