The Goose Creek Memorial Patriots edged the host Sterling Rangers softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Patriots play the Kingwood Park Panthers (Kingwood, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 18. Goose Creek Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Hargrave (Huffman, TX).
The Rangers (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Humble (Humble, TX). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Humble was nudged by St. Pius X (Houston, TX), 6-2, in a non-league challenge.
