Next, the Bulldogs meet the Jones Trojans (Beeville, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 15. Lyford will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Trojans go into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX).

The Owls (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX). The Tigers go into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Carroll held off Southwest Legacy (Von Ormy, TX), 16-1, in a non-league challenge.
