The Manvel Mavericks softball team scored 15 runs and held the host Stratford Spartans to 5 in the Mavericks non-league win on Saturday.

The Mavericks now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cinco Ranch for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 15. Manvel will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to St. Agnes Academy (Houston, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Stratford moves to 3-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Cypress Creek (Houston, TX) to encounter the Cougars in a 6A Region III District 17 battle on Tuesday, February 18. The Cougars come into the battle with a record of 1-5. Cypress Creek lost 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Jordan (Fulshear, TX)
