Allentown Central Catholic Vikings (Allentown, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Pocono Mountain West Panthers (Pocono Summit, PA), 61-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Allentown Central Catholic upgrades its record to 15-7 on the campaign.

Next up, the Panthers play the Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders (Easton, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 23. Pocono Mountain West will attempt to upgrade on its 18-5 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 20-3 record after their 59-43 non-league win over Palmerton (Palmerton, PA).
