In Thursday's non-league match, the host Hillcrest Patriots basketball team scored a tight 52-50 triumph over the Chilton County Tigers.
In their next game, the Patriots face the Paul W. Bryant Stampede (Cottondale, AL) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, February 22. Hillcrest will attempt to move on its 11-8 season record. The Stampede enter the match with a 20-12 record after their 61-35 non-league win over Pelham (Pelham, AL).
With the defeat, Chilton County moves to 20-13 on the year.
