Illinois High School Basketball - PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central tops Olympia

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL) and the visiting Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL), saw PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central's basketball squad knock off Olympia by a count of 68-57.

With the victory, PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central upgrades its record to 22-7 on the campaign. The Bluejays travel to Auburn (Auburn, IL) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 22. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 23-8. Auburn won 64-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Beardstown (Beardstown, IL)

Next up, the Spartans play the Tri-Valley Vikings (Downs, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 18. Olympia will attempt to upgrade on its 6-24 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 13-16 record after their 71-52 non-league loss to Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL).
