In Thursday's non-league match, the host Byrd Yellow Jackets basketball team scored a tight 41-36 triumph over the St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers.
In their next game, the Yellow Jackets meet the John Curtis Christian Patriots (River Ridge, LA) in a non-league match, on Monday, February 20. Byrd will attempt to move on its 14-10 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 13-4 record after their 81-49 non-league win over Salmen (Slidell, LA).
With the defeat, St. Joseph's Academy moves to 9-8 on the year.
