Shanley Deacons (Fargo, ND) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Fargo North Spartans (Fargo, ND), 55-50 in a league bout.
With the victory, Shanley upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign.
Next up, the Spartans play the Grand Forks Central Knights (Grand Forks, ND) in a A East bout, on Saturday, February 18. Fargo North will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 53-50 non-league win over Grafton (Grafton, ND).
