The Holden Rockets (Holden, LA) basketball nipped the host Pleasant Hill Eagles (Pleasant Hill, LA), 56-55 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Rockets (11-12) will now prepare for their test against Gibsland-Coleman (Gibsland, LA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 26-6 record. In their last test, Gibsland-Coleman got by Claiborne Christian (West Monroe, LA), 65-29, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 11-15 record.
