With the victory, New York Mills improves its record to 15-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Verndale (Verndale, MN) to confront the Pirates in a A Section 5 challenge on Friday, February 17. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 6-15. Verndale lost 59-54 in their recent league challenge against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (Walker, MN)

Next up, the Thunderbirds confront the Red Lake County Central Mustangs (Oklee, MN) in a A Section 8 challenge, on Tuesday, February 21. Mahnomen/Waubun will attempt to improve on its 9-15 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 8-12 record after their 69-50 league win over Clearbrook-Gonvick (Clearbrook, MN).
