Manistique Emeralds (Manistique, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Stephenson Eagles (Stephenson, MI), 36-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Manistique upgrades its record to 4-15 on the season. The Emeralds host Westwood (Ishpeming, MI) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 4-12.

Next up, the Eagles play the Mid Peninsula Wolverines (Rock, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Stephenson will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 42-29 non-league loss to Big Bay de Noc (Cooks, MI).
